Introduction to Birdwatching
Introduction to Birdwatching is a course designed to introduce you to the joys of birdwatching in the nation’s capital. This two-part course focuses on all the topics that are important to beginning birders: equipment, field guides, birding ethics, identification, taxonomy, and the best birding sites in the city. The course includes a classroom session that covers the basics of birding in DC and a field trip that helps you put what you learn into practice. The course is taught by members of the DC Audubon Society.

Gardens for Birds
Do you like birds and do you have a garden? Would you like to learn how to attract more birds to your garden? Join the DC Audubon Society “Gardens for Birds” class to learn how you can create a better habitat for birds in your own backyard. The course focuses on the features and plants that can provide food and cover that birds need to thrive in your DC garden.
